Amazing service and a great find. Tempura is light and pace of the meal was perfect.

Superb tempura restaurant. We landed in Tokyo late and were lucky to get the last two spots of the night. The ingredients were really fresh, the owner even has a fish tank that keeps prawn alive. Lightly battered tempura, not oily at all. Great service too.

I recommend this place in the most superlative terms. You will learn the true meaning of "oiishi". Yes it's quite expensive, but trust me it's worth it. Family running it are super nice, they speak a bit of English, they *accept credit cards* (yay), and while you may want to make a reservation, they may accept walk-ins (like I was).

After visiting this restaurant I realized that I haven't tried the real tempura before. There were only 2 people working there the chef and the waitress. They were able to serve 4 parties at the same time. All the ingredients were presented to us at the beginning and they were selected from 3 choices based on the quantity of tempura we wanted. Each portion of tempura was made separately so the dinner took around 2 hours. It was a unique experience. I will definitely visit this place again.

知り合いの招待で利用させていただきました。 まず店主の気さくなお人柄がとても素敵で、それだけでもまた通いたくなるお店です。 もちろん天ぷらも絶品！なんと油は白いごま油をこだわって利用しており、サクッと揚げられた食感は最高！揚げ物だとあまり食べれない…と心配するかたも多いですが、初穂の天ぷらはいくらでも食べれます、全く胃もたれしない。これは油が良いからだと思います。 店主がこだわって材料を仕入れているので、あまり利益が出ないような食材もお客さんのために仕入れているのだとか。 お値段はそこそこしますが、お値段以上のお味でコスパは最高です。
